About Our Honey
Our honey is Raw, Unheated & Unfiltered. The bees determine the color, flavor, and texture of our honey by the varieties of wildflowers and herbs they forage. We do not heat the honey like the commercial honey packers do (the ones in the supermarkets) to break down any sugar crystals. This is why their honey will stay clear on the shelves. When you heat above 115 degrees, it destroys the antioxidants, enzymes, vitamins and other beneficial attributes. If you ask people, they will tell you that heated honey loses much of its color and flavor.
To bring honey back to it’s liquid form after it has crystallized, all you need to do is put it in a pot on your stove with a few inches of water. Bring it to a simmer, once it is back to liquid form remove it from the stove. Do not boil the honey, do not put the honey in the microwave. You will lose all the properties if you do that. Do not put plastic on the stove, only glass. If you have a plastic bottle, please put the bottle in a bowl and put hot tap water in the bowl till it comes back to liquid form.
